On the last post, I mentioned crossplay at the very end. To continue where I left off:

Ebay was becoming more international and the first hint of cosplay costumes were starting to get posted there. There were only a few costumes listed and most were fairly crappy looking. Finally, there was a seller that listed Sailormoon costumes. I love the Sailormoon series ever since they started showing it in the U.S. So, the purchase of a Sailor Uranus costume was made and it was shipped from a Chinese retailer. At the time, no one knew that some of these Chinese retailers skimp on materials and details and other flaws we know about today. I didn't quite like the material that they used for the bodysuit, however, the details were nice.

The costume itself wasn't the flaw to the whole crossplaying experience. It was because I was unwilling to purchase a proper wig and apply proper makeup. Instead of a wig, I used those color hair sprays. The spray somehow spewed out half a can worth of yellow mess on one area of my hair and there wasn't enough to spray the rest of my hair. So you can only imagine how I looked. Instead of flaking out, I attended Anime Expo (Anaheim) anyway.
