The good, the bad, and the low life - A three-class cosplay society

Yes, I confess: I'm low life!
You wanna know why? Well, I tell you. But first of all: Please don't read it if you detest sarcasm or cynism.

Okay, here's my story.

I live in a middle sized town in the west of Germany... Yes, we have directions even without a wall (here I go...)!
Anyway, I cosplay since I'm 15, which is 5 years now. I never had big problems in sewing, though I'm a guy. Of course, my first costumes were rather easy, like a boy's school uniform. However, Since 3 years, I take much more care of details... to a certain point. I mean... has anyone measured the axact length of Abarai Renjis Zanpakuto? I'm serious!

Last year, someone dissed me, because my Sinbad costume was not accurate (For those of you who don't know who I talk about: He's from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne): My hair was too dark blue.

I mean okay... I don't mind if somebody is obssessed with details. But PLEASE: DON'T DISS PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE HAIR!

I'm not getting offensive... however... It seems like this is just a problem among German cosplayers...

But my favorite is FtM!!!

Hey, yeah, girls look hot, even in a male cosplay. But what to do if these girls are getting know-all?
I was a shinigami. Well, not yet, the wig was missing (It was an overcoming for me wearing a costume when no convention is around within 100 miles! But at the train station everything turned to "normal". Cosplayers!!!!

I was.. kind of friendly. I mean, I smiled.. which I think IS friendly in general. I just heard a female Gaara saying "What the **** do YOU want to portray?"
I never thought to say something that rude, but I turned around and yelled: "So what? YOU have breasts. Don't tell me YOU are a PROPER Gaara!"

Well, my girlfriend was mad, the day was ruined, but I had my redemption!

I'm curious how the world will react on my Sailor Uranus.... Well, I will have fun wearing it (keep in mind, I just do it because it's fun and I admire female characters... well, maybe it's the clothes as well... not the female clothes itself.. just let's say I like the cloth design ;) )

Reffering to the blog entry's title: I guess, I am lowlife. I don't care if the swords length is accurate (YEAH, I grab it out off the anime, measure it and give it back!)

Well, let's see. I keep you current!
