Foreign languages on the site

While approving photo comments today I noticed a few that were in a language other than English. Please only speak English on this site so everyone can understand you. This also makes sure that people are not using a foreign language to covertly make fun of someone.

If you see something in a different language please let a moderator know so we can remove the comment and try to talk to the person so we can all speak the same language.

Asking for upload permission

For future reference!

Don't use a forum topic to ask if it's ok to upload photos. Send a private message to myself or a moderator for approval. It helps if you have the photo(s) uploaded elsewhere so we can actually see them to say if they are ok or not. To see who your moderators are, view the main forums page and see who is listed for the forums, you'll see something like:

Moderators: Kimberly, dalious, Zipo, LANDER, Yukine

These would be the people you need to contact. Don't use this example list because it might change. Go to the MAIN forums page and check there.

Ok, I think I'm done (for now)

Whew! I think it really is the theme that was causing us so many problems. So I switched to an approved theme and decided to alter it myself so I took a basic theme and redid it to be how I wanted it. So basically today, in about an hour to two hours, I rewrote a theme and redid all the fixes I did for the old theme. ^^;; Good thing is, apparently I'm getting faster at working with the system.

Anyway, report bugs if you get them. Especially if you get the Internal Server Error.

Debugging I will go!

I will be using the default theme to try and find out what's causing those Internal Server Errors. So for a while, you won't see the CP.net theme, please don't report this as a bug, and please don't complain about it. I'm trying to fix errors and this is necessary and not permanent.

DO report if you still get the Internal Server Error while this default theme is running.

Forum changes

I decided to separate the forums a bit better than they were. This came about while I was trying to move a thread to an appropriate area, only to realize there wasn't one. Somehow, I did not have a general chat for costuming so I have corrected that. And in the process I made some other changes.

I did these changes so we can keep costuming separate so everyone can participate in the costume questions where as before, if you posted in M2F or F2M about your costume you only reach a certain audience.

For any passing as the other gender questions, still go to the appropriate M2F/F2M area for tips on that alone, no costume issues should be posted there from this day onward.

Changes:
Crossplay section is now known as Transgender
Costume help is now known as Cosplay & Crossplay.
     - This also has the new area for costume chatting so we can keep it separate from transgendered and passing threads.
The order has been changed to have Cosplay & Crossplay above Transgender.

As before, please post any concerns or suggestions for this change or any others you may have in mind in this thread:

Cursing on the forums.

It's come to my attention lately that there is a lot of people using foul language on the forums. This is stopping as of today. You will only get so many warnings to stop before I will delete and ban anyone not heeding the rules. I have added some word filters to black some of it out, but just because the forum will auto-censor some words does not make it OK for you to use them. I should not see any post with ****.

If you see someone cursing, please copy the link to that forum/thread and send it to a moderator in PM so we can edit the post and send that person a warning message.

I have placed a temporary set of rules on the upload page for images. I'm getting together with the moderators right now to add/tweak them. If you would like to discuss the new photo upload rules then please do so in the updates forum for all the changes.

New look and upgrade for the site!

If you haven't noticed, the site looks different. I have also added two photo streams to show the last few uploaded photos, and the last few comments. I hope everyone likes them!

What you might not see is that I updated the code that runs it all. But if you happen to see some things have moved, new options, etc. don't freak out. =) If you do notice any bugs please do report them to myself so I can take a look at it. Just send me a private message via the forums.

Gallery is open again!

Two new gallery moderators have been established. Hopefully this is all we'll need and thank you to all who offered to help. The two new gallery moderators are Yukine and LANDER. If you see something bad on the gallery, be sure to tell one of us immediately.

Photo Gallery Update

There's been a lot of abuse in the galleries, and I had hoped it would stop and it has not. So until I go through the ENTIRE gallery and delete those photos, and possibly users, the galleries will be view only.
